The foundation for investment in the environment is first and foremost the fulfilment of the idea of sustainable development. In this context, priority is given to activities in the areas of Nature and Landscape Protection, Sustainable Use of Natural Resources, Environment and Quality of Life and, last but not least, Protection of the Country’s Climate System.
The Czech Republic’s national policies in the field of environmental protection are addressed at several levels and fully follow the trends of environmental policy development throughout the EU.
Projects dealing with ecology and the environment fall mainly within the scope of the Operational Programme Environment, which thematically covers almost the entire range of environmental projects within its priority axes.
The Institute for Regional Development’s specialists have experience in this area, in particular with the following programmes:
Operational Programme Environment – focuses on improving the quality of the environment as a means of meeting the objectives of sustainable development. The priority axes of the programme cover the whole range of priorities not only of the Czech Republic but also of the whole EU in the field of environmental protection.
Operational Programme Prague Competitiveness – the programme is located exclusively on the territory of the capital city of Prague and is thematically focused on the development of transport services, information and communication technologies, environmental protection and support for innovation and knowledge development.
