The project PONTAL (Prevention of being NEETs through Action Learning) wants to link the prevention of being a NEET with a support to boost the interest of pupils in technical, scientific and mathematical disciplines with a high degree of
innovativeness among students of the last years of primary schools due to the increasing lack of qualified and professionally educated workers in the labour market particularly in
aforementioned disciplines.

2. METIS GENCLIK VE SPOR KULUBU DERNEGI (Turkey)

Lowering youth unemployment and supporting the engagement of as many young Europeans as possible is at the heart of the EU policy agenda. Eurostat records from 2018 shows clearly there has been still almost 20 million of young people Neither Employed nor in Education and Training (hereinafter called NEETs) in the EU.
The most vulnerable subgroup of NEETs are the young people with the lowest level of educational attainment. According to the OECD, this group is also at the highest risk of long-term scarring effects due to the biggest lack of basic skills and competences enabling them to engage them in the world of work or in secondary education/vocational training.
The prevention of being NEETs should start already in the last year of primary school when pupils are standing in front of one of their most crucial decisions in life: what career path will they take?
Within the PONTAL project, 2 Intellectual Outputs will be produced:
IO1: The methodology for teachers/educators to map the profile of potential NEETs among pupils
IO2: Set of courses based on “action learning” method
- for virtual reality / augmented reality technological field:
- for Robotics:
- for 3D technologies:
