On 25 March 2025, the IDEAL project team gathered for the fourth and final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM4) in the city of Budapest, Hungary. Hosted by SignCoders at the Hungarian Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SINOSZ), this event marked a significant milestone in our collaborative European initiative to enhance health literacy among deaf adults.
Partners from Slovakia, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic and Hungary came together to evaluate and celebrate the project’s successes. Highlights included the official completion of the IDEAL handbook, insightful discussions about the outcomes of the pilot sessions, updates on the production of awareness-raising videos and finalisation of our accessible online platform. The gathering offered ample opportunity for reflection, dialogue and collective appreciation of the positive impact already observed.
TPM4 was not just a final project meeting; it was a celebration of the intercultural collaboration, shared vision and commitment that have been at the heart of the IDEAL project — ‘Increasing the Health Literacy of Deaf Adults through Innovative Methodologies’. While the formal project is coming to a close, the educational tools, training resources and digital materials developed through IDEAL will continue to empower and support Deaf communities across Europe.
