ENRICH-US (Empowering Communities to Steer Sustainable Tourism Growth) is a transnational project funded by Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE. It aims to help local communities in peripheral territories better manage tourism development in a way that is sustainable, respectful of local ecosystems and cultural heritage, and beneficial for residents in the long term.
The project brings together partners from Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. Together, we will test and further develop eco-cultural tourism governance models and practical tools that support bottom-up, participatory decision-making and stronger involvement of local stakeholders: municipalities, businesses, organisations and citizens. The project also includes pilot actions on the ground, allowing us to validate solutions in real-life settings and prepare them for wider use beyond the project lifetime.
The project runs from January 2026 to December 2027.
