Tourism

The general objective of the projects in the field of urban and rural development and tourism support is to improve the socio-economic situation in the regions and to increase the competitiveness of individual regions of the Czech Republic in the field of tourism.

The Institute’s expert network has experience in this area with the following programmes:

Regional Operational Programmes – the aim is to direct financial support to regions whose development is lagging behind, to eliminate economic and social disparities and to support the development of towns and villages. Most of the activities are aimed at supporting infrastructure development, small and medium-sized enterprises and other development activities in disadvantaged regions and rural areas.

The Operational Programme Environment – is aimed at improving the quality of the environment as a means to meet the objectives of sustainable development. The priority axes of the programme cover the whole range of priorities not only of the Czech Republic but also of the whole EU in the field of environmental protection.

Operational Programme Prague Competitiveness – the programme is located exclusively on the territory of the capital city of Prague and is thematically focused on the development of transport services, information and communication technologies, environmental protection and support for innovation and knowledge development.

Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation – it is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of industry and entrepreneurship, linking the research and industrial sectors and, above all, supporting the growth of knowledge-based entrepreneurship using the introduction of new technologies and innovative products into practice.

URBACT – the main objective of the programme is to ensure urban regeneration and thus improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of European cities. The programme has 14 thematic networks which form a platform for the exchange of valuable experiences between representatives of the partner cities.

The Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) supports the development and use of information and communication technologies.

Interreg – this programme facilitates the exchange of experience between regions, ranging from small cross-border projects, to regional transnational projects, to pan-European interregional projects.
