On 22nd October 2020, a kick-off meeting of a new, IRR-led PONTAL project was held online, gathering representatives of all the 6 partners involved (from the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Estonia, Turkey, Hungary and Italy)
During the kick-off meeting, which had to be held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all the partners had a chance to present themselves and get to know each other. The meeting was aimed at discussing the project’s main objectives and ideas with focusing on the first steps and deadlines. The consortium mainly put an emphasis on the first Intellectual Output, which consists of a methodology to map the profile of potential NEETs among pupils.
Main aims of the project are:
Linking the point of prevention of being NEET with support to boost the interest of pupils in technical, scientific and mathematical disciplines with a high degree of innovativeness among students of the last grade of primary schools
Creating a methodology on how to correctly identify pupils at risks of dropping out of school, demotivating to the next level of education, the associated unemployment, and destined for being future NEET
Creating 6 sets of courses curricula with the innovative method of action learning in cooperation with foreign experts
Awakening pupils’ interest in technical education in new fields with a high level of innovation and a certain prestige
Raising awareness of NEETs phenomenon at European level
Within the PONTAL project, 2 Intellectual Outputs will be produced:
IO1: The methodology for teachers/educators to map the profile of potential NEETs among pupils;
IO2: Set of courses based on “action learning” method;
