Kick off meeting

On 1st December 2022, the first face-to-face meeting of all seven partners of the EMPLOY ME project took place in Prague.

At the beginning of the meeting, all the organisations forming the consortium introduced themselves. Afterwards, the project application form was analysed and the upcoming activities to be implemented during the upcoming two-year project implementation period were agreed upon.

The project coordinators from Asociacija MINTIES BITĖS talked about the project management. Furthermore, the partners from Greece – Innovation Hive presented the dissemination plan.

At the end of the meeting, the partners agreed on the way forward and later a social dinner was held.

The EMPLOY ME project aims to strengthen the European agenda to promote the social inclusion of migrants through actions that support their inclusion in education and, most importantly, in employment. This will lead to the promotion of economic growth, job creation and the development of new skills in Europe in order to close existing economic and social gaps.

The following concrete results and learning outcomes are expected during and after the project:
⚈ Improved and enhanced employability skills and competences of young unemployed second generation migrants;
⚈ Improved opportunities for social inclusion and employability of young 2nd generation migrants;
⚈ Increased cross-community and social inclusion initiatives as the project will promote diversity by recruiting participants from diverse backgrounds and with few opportunities.
⚈ Increased capacity of youth workers, NGOs and other organisations working with and supporting young migrants to develop their employability skills and competences;
⚈ Increased quality of training programmes and other similar initiatives and actions offered to improve and develop the employability skills of participants;
⚈ Harnessing the potential and benefits of successful integration of young 2nd generation migrants into employment;
⚈ Fulfilling the objectives of local socio-economic policy, which emphasises the importance of supporting young people, especially those with limited opportunities and at risk of marginalisation, in accessing quality advice and business support services.
