From 11 to 12 September 2024, IDEAL project partners gathered in the lively city of Brno in the Czech Republic, hosted by MUNI Teiresias at Masaryk University. This third Transnational Project Meeting was a significant milestone in our mission to improve health literacy among deaf adults across Europe.
The event featured comprehensive discussions on key project deliverables:
- Handbook for Adult Educators (WP2): TUCEP and MUNI Teiresias showcased best practices, finalised translation efforts and ensured the handbook’s accessibility for all users.
- Curriculum Development (WP3): Led by IRR and CNSE, the partners addressed identified knowledge gaps, detailed the next steps for the piloting phase and refined strategies to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Awareness-Raising Videos: IRR provided updates on the production of ten educational videos in national and international sign languages, designed to make critical health information accessible.
- Digital Platform (WP4): SIGNCODERS presented a new, user-friendly digital platform designed to host all IDEAL educational resources and materials, ensuring ease of navigation and accessibility.
With partners dedicated to the project from Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain and Hungary, the IDEAL consortium remains committed to creating inclusive and innovative educational tools that will significantly enhance health literacy for Deaf communities.
