Work Package 3

Designing and Developing the GreenScape Educational Escape Room

Work Package 3 is where the GreenScape experience comes to life . Building on the theoretical foundation established in WP2, this work package focuses on the full design and development of the Virtual Escape Room, transforming pedagogical principles into an immersive, interactive learning environment.

Within WP3, the consortium builds the Virtual Escape Room structure, creates engaging puzzles and scenario-based challenges , and integrates sustainability principles and EU decision-making themes directly into gameplay . All puzzles and narratives are aligned with European Youth Goal #10 – A Sustainable Green Europe, allowing young participants to navigate real policy dilemmas, reflect on climate justice issues, and practice civic decision-making in a dynamic, gamified setting.

WP3 also develops clear, accessible user guidance to ensure that every participant understands how to navigate the Virtual Escape Room, interact with its components, and fully engage in the learning experience. The experience is designed to be inclusive of diverse identities, backgrounds, and abilities, ensuring accessibility for all.

Through this work package, GreenScape becomes a practical, youth-friendly tool that strengthens critical thinking, collaboration, and active citizenship – empowering young people to participate meaningfully in shaping Europe’s sustainable future.
