Europe Direct Centre Bruntál organized on April 22. 9. 2014 15:00-16:30 pm seminar on financial literacy for the target group of students and the general public (District Bruntál and Opava). The seminar took place in the Information Centre at Dr. E. Benes 1873/61, 792 01 Bruntál.

The seminar was:

Psychological and social aspects of financial literacy
Information literacy in the context of financial literacy
Cash literacy – the money, the local currency, foreign currency, methods of payment, banking and non-banking sector, and interest rate, types of bank accounts, credit cards, savings, insurance, loans, alternative financing methods.
Price literacy – the market and the market mechanism, price inflation
Budget literacy – personal / family budget, financial planning

After completing the course, 25 participants gained knowledge, skills and information in the following areas:

-how to easily build your financial plan
-instructions how to decide when you have to choose financial products and services
-understanding the flow of energy / money
-how to work with money and thus strengthen our skills to be financially independent
Each participant received a certificate after completing the course of financial literacy.

The lecturer was a certified instructor Jan Štolba.
